The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan, Babatunde Akiolu, was on Wednesday smuggled out of his Iga Iduganran palace following the invasion of hoodlums taking advantage of the #EndSARS protest.
The prominent monarch was spirited out of the palace by operatives of the Nigerian Army and Police in a patrol van instead of one of the usual Sports Utility Vehicles that he rides in.
After his exit, hoodlums invaded the palace, carting away valuables, including foodstuff.
Some of those who invaded the palace in their tens, were seen with bags of rice.
Another group, led by a man not wearing a top, targeted the staff of office.
They eventually took it away singing.
Meanwhile, hoodlums also stormed a Lagos State Government facility in Ojodu-Berger housing the Federal Road Safety Corps and Vehicle Inspector Office.
The offices were set ablaze.
Cars within the compound, including those impounded, were affected by the raging fire.
