Another Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Uche Ogbuagu, has defected to the All Progressives Congress.
The lawmaker, representing Ikeduru Constituency, announced his defection in a letter dated January 28, 2020 and addressed to the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Chiji Collins.
Ogbuagu, said his decision was in the interest of his constituents.
He also claimed that he defected to the APC over unfair treatment meted out to him by the PDP.
The defection is coming less than 24 hours after the Chairman of the party in the state, Charles Ezekwem, resigned, with indications that he was heading to the APC.
Nine lawmakers of the Imo State House of Assembly has last week defected to the APC.
