Absolut Open Canvas set to open

One of the most creative brand in the world, Absolut Vodka, will this December dazzle Lagosians through its localization of its global ‘TRANSFORM TODAY’ campaign, with the Absolut inspired ‘OPEN CANVAS’ in Lagos.
The brand, from the stable of Pernod Ricard, is set to redefine marketing and bring art to the fore of talent hunting in Nigeria.
OPEN CANVAS is an interactive outdoor art exhibition platform in real time, which ABSOLUT offers to artists to inspire creative risk-taking by collaborating with and empowering them to transform selected areas in Lagos into eye-popping art pieces.
The artists, through their collective resourcefulness, will push the limits of creativity by sharing their artistic ingenuity and imagination on canvasses while Lagos citizens interact with and experience the free outdoor art exhibits.
This unique campaign, which is making its debut in Nigeria, formally kicks off on December 18, 2013 and ends with the year.
Prior to this, artists who seek to be a part of OPEN CANVAS will need to send their entries to a dedicated site, which will soon be made public.
Five each of the final 20, who will be selected, will have the privilege of showcasing their talent across four different locations in metropolitan Lagos.
OPEN CANVAS will take place under the guidance of celebrity collaborators, who are respected in the creative community for their immense contribution.
They include Kelechi Amadi-Obi, (International photographer and painter), Denrele Edun (the creatively dressed media personality), Ibe Ananaba, a notable mixed media artist, among others.
The five artists, whose paintings are adjudged very outstanding, will enjoy the benefits of an enhanced career.
