A fresh attack in the Kenyan coastal settlement of Mpeketoni has killed at least 15 people, following an earlier onslaught that left 49 dead, official media reported on Tuesday.
It said that the victims included two police officers, while two houses were torched in the same area.
The Somali radical Islamist group al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for Sunday’s attack.
It reported that they killed people, set buildings on fire and killing patients in hospital beds.
The government vowed to hunt down the killers.
However, President Uhuru Kenyatta has made no comment so far.
