The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given Nigerian students displaced by the Ukraine/Russia war the opportunity to continue their studies in the country.
Recall that several Nigerian students studying in Ukraine had to return to Nigeria when the war broke out in February.
With the war not abating, the Federal Government has offered the students the opportunity to resume their studies in the country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, made this known in a statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Francisca K. Omayuli.
According to the statement, efforts are being made to facilitate their placement into various Nigerian tertiary institutions to enable them continue their studies.
Interested students should visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website and complete the online Nigerian students in Ukraine registration form with the required information on or before July 15, 2022.
The offer is coming despite the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
