The Senate of the University of Ibadan has directed 78 students to withdraw from the institution for failing to obtain the minimum academic requirements for the 2012/2013 session.
This was contained in a report issued by the Registrar, Olujimi Olukoya, and published in the institution’s bulletin.
Olukoya, who said that the Senate gave the directive on behalf of the institution, gave an assurance that the university would continue to uphold the highest standards in global education system.
The affected students were drawn from 100 to 400 levels in 13 faculties.
A breakdown of the figure indicated that six of them gained admission into the university through Direct Entry mode, 66 through University Tertiary Matriculation Examination, while six came in through the Unified Matriculation Examination.
