With Insurance FC also launching several attacks and putting the hosts on the back foot many times, the hosts could not sustain the momentum and continued falling short.
But with the home fans getting on edge and hurling abuse at the Shooting Stars bench, especially club head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, the hosts kept up their onslaughts.
A launch from the left flank was flicked on for Taiye to head in at the far side, prompting ecstatic celebrations both on and off the pitch.
NAN reports that the result moved the Shooting Stars one step up to 11th on the log with 30 points from 22 matches, and a -1 goals difference.
