Speaking at a special prayer service held at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, Mrs Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the wife of the deputy governor, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, said the prayer session became imperative in view of the challenges confronting the country.

Sanwo-Olu who is also the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for Ondo State, said that the sterling performance of Akeredolu in the state was evident.
Speaking during the inauguration of the task force at the Lagos House, Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu urged all members of the task force to see their appointment as a call to service.
The party leaders also included former Interim National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande; Chairman, Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum, Senator Atiku Bagudu; Deputy Chairman, APC National Campaign Council and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalung; Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano); Gboyega Oyetola (Osun); Abdulrahman Abdulrazak (Kwara); Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); Abdulahi Sule (Nassarawa); Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipreye Slyva; and former Governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.
Discussions at the meeting focused partly on actionable steps being put in place at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport by the Federal and State Governments to give travellers comfort and better experience when the facility is opened for air traffic.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement on Monday by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, said the appointment takes immediate effect.
The recipients are the first set of beneficiaries to be picked to benefit from the N250 million seed capital earmarked, last year, as Research and Innovation Fund by the State Government.
