The immediate past Governor of Abia, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed deep sadness at the news of the passing on of late Nimi Ohuabunwa, wife of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, a few days ago.

The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Okey Ezeala, made the position known in a statement on Wednesday.
The campaign organization in a statement titled ” Ohuabunwa is desperate, afraid of losing senatorial election” and signed by its spokesperson, Sunny Idika on Tuesday evening dismissed Ohuabunwa’s chances in the general election, accusing him of desperation and irresponsible politicking.

Ohuabunwa polled 135 votes to defeat his closest rival, Rep. Uko Nkole, who scored 29 votes in Wednesday’s poll.
