Akeredolu was reacting to allegations by the Ondo State Concerned Timber Merchants (OSCTIM) that the State Government planned to hand over the state forest reserve to a firm linked to Babajide, a son of Governor Akeredolu

The Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Kunle Somorin, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja, said that the state government, under Gov. Dapo Abiodun, is committed to boosting the industrial development and revenue of the state.

This was revealed by the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Olaolu Olabimtan while giving the overview and breakdown of the 2022-2024 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for the state during the plenary of the State House of Assembly, where he also responded to several questions from the lawmakers on the component of the document at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta.

A release issued by the Director of Administration and Programmes of the anti-graft organization, Tola Oresanwo, on behalf of the chairman, Debo Adeniran, noted: “The House of Representatives observed that most of the agencies leverage on their establishment acts to spend their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), thereby denying the government of needed revenue.

The governor, who stated this on Saturday evening at the 41st Omo Aj’orosun Day Celebration, in Ibadan, also took time out to educate his main challenger in the 2019 election, Bayo Adelabu, and opposition elements on the essence of the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA) of his administration.
