He said in the statement: "One month into the State of Emergency declared by President Goodluck Jonathan in some states in the North Eastern part of Nigeria, reports from Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States are reassuring as normalcy is gradually being restored as a result of the gallant efforts of the Armed Forces and other security agencies as well as the co operation of the local communities
Jonathan said his administration would do everything possible to ensure that peace reigned in the country

The meeting, held at the Presidential Villa and presided over by President Jonathan, was attended by the leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress, the Trade Union Congress and the Nigerian Union of Pensioners
