Governor Makinde, who inspected the ongoing construction of Ajia-Airport-New Ife Expressway and the remodeling of the Lekan Salami Sport Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, stated that the projects were going on steadily.
Governor Makinde, in a congratulatory message to Obaseki, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Edo State governorship election, also praised the National Campaign Council of the PDP, led by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, for a job well done.

The governor, who spoke at a dinner held in honour of the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Fund, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, said his focus on free and qualitative education would remain unchanged, just as he remained committed to the task of moving Oyo State from poverty to prosperity.
Oduyoye, in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Thursday, stated that Governor Makinde will not be deterred by opposition to his reconciliatory efforts and plans to bring unity and cohesion to the PDP in the South West.
