The decision of Senate was sequel to the report submitted by Senate Public Accounts Committee chaired by Senator Matthew Urhoghide after considering the 2015 Auditor General of the Federation report .

The allegation, according to the reports, emanated from discussions that followed a motion at the plenary of the Senate on Wednesday.
