The Chairman of the ICPC, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, while briefing journalists in Abuja, said the Commission will ensure the full implementation of the Manual, which provides step-by-step instructions compiled to help port users carry out routine operations in a simplified format.

The Chairman of ICPC, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye (SAN), made this known while presenting the summary of the agency’s assets recovery, seizures and forfeitures when members of the Senate Committee on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes visited its headquarters in Abuja on oversight

Owasanoye made this known in his presentation to the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions during its hearing on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s decision to stop financial institutions from transacting in cryptocurrencies and matters arising therefrom.

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, said on Thursday that his administration has started reaching out to former office holders in the state, who have been discovered to have withheld state’s resources, to return same or risk being reported to the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission.

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project has petitioned Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, and Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, urging them to “jointly and urgently invite Senators Godswill Akpabio and Isa Misau for interrogation and further questioning over alleged diversion of constituency projects.”
