The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has described the elevation of Eric Osagie to the position of Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the Sun Publishing Limited as a recognition and reward for excellence and hardwork.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahaab Oba, the governor said the elevation of Osagie, Steve Nwosu and Funke Egbemode to various higher positions of responsibility in both The Sun and the New Telegraph newspapers demonstrate the invaluable contributions they made to the steady rise of the company.
Ahmed described the three journalists as “professionals with panache and candour whose contributions to journalism are legendary”.
He said they are sources of inspiration to younger journalists.
Ahmed said he was optimistic that Osagie and Nwosu and Egbemode’s contributions in their new positions would up the ante of the Sun and New Telegraph newspapers as the authentic “Voices of the Nation”.
