Seven-year-old table tennis player sees Quadri as role model for budding talents.

Juwon Ogunsakin, a seven-year-old table tennis player, on Sunday described Quadri, a top table tennis player, as a role model to budding players in the country.
Ogunsakin told the News Agency of Nigeria at the 2018 Seamaster Challenge ITTF Nigeria Open in Lagos that Quadri inspired him to play in the event which started on August 8.
NAN reports that Ogunsakin came into limelight at the 49th Asoju Oba Table Tennis Championships in 2017 where he dazzled fans with his performance in the competition’s cadet category.
Ogunsakin defeated 12-year-old Samyak Sharam of Indian Language School in Lagos by 2-0, displaying good skills in her rallies and use of forehand and backhand.
He said: “I love the way brother Quadri use to play; this is the first time I am watching him play in a competition and I have learnt a lot from him.
“A lot of junior players are saying good things about him and that only shows that he is a good role model to upcoming athletes.”
NAN reports that young Ogunsakin also stole the show at the Funke Oshonaike U-21 Tourney held in April at the Lagos Country Club in Ikeja, thrilling fans with his skills.
The young sensation said he would continue to train hard so as to represent the country in the future.
NAN reports that 169 players from 27 countries participated in the Nigeria Open which ended on Sunday.
