The five-member Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has again reserved ruling on the application by the opposition Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate Peter Obi for live streaming of the proceedings of the court.
Justice Haruna Tsammani announced this Friday, after lawyers to parties adopted their various processes. The Head of the panel held that the ruling on Obi’s application would be next week Monday.
Lawyer to Obi and the LP, Awa Kalu (SAN) urged the court to grant the application in the interest of the public.
However, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN) for INEC, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettma, and Adeniyi Akintola (SAN) for the APC, moved their various counter affidavits and prayed the court to reject the application for being without merit and constituting a distraction to the court.
The court has adjourned till Saturday for further pre-hearing sessions in the petition.
