Nottingham Forest is pushing to sign Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.
Reports claimed Forest boss Steve Cooper is eager to bring Dennis to the City Ground.
West Ham appeared to be in pole position to push through a £20 million deal for the Nigerian, who bagged 10 goals and 6 assists in 33 Premier League appearances last season.
But the Hammers have dropped out after signing Gianluca Scamacca last week from Sassuolo.
Cooper is now keen and ready to make a move.
Although Dennis has four years left on his contract, Forest are confident they can cash in on the Hammers’ U-turn and land the skilful frontman.
