The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on Monday said the report of the committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari on the N13 billion found in various currencies in a Lagos flat and the N200 million grass cutting contract under the Presidential Initiative on the North East, will be submitted on May 3.
Malami disclosed this on Tuesday after a meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari had set up the committee to probe the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, over the N13 billion cash found in a Lagos flat by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, over a N200 million grass cutting contract allegedly awarded to a company in which he has interest.
Members of the committee are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the National Security Adviser, General Babagana Monguno; and Malami.
Malami told State House correspondents that the report will be submitted on Wednesday.
