The Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, on Wednesday expressed the confidence that his achievements, since his assumption of office, would ensure victory for in next year’s general election.
Ahmed emphatically declared that notwithstanding the exit of some leaders of the All Progressives Party in Kwara State to the Peoples Democratic Party, he is sure of being re-elected.
The governor spoke in Abuja after returning his completed nomination and expression of interest forms to the APC headquarters.
He listed some of his achievements to include human capital development, economic development, infrastructure and security.
His words: “We have a lot of confidence because APC has fully taken over Kwara and to deliver an APC government.
“Naturally, we have people going in and out but the structure is very strong and firm ready to deliver an APC government.
“My government has touched peoples lives in human capital development, economic development and of course, the infrastructure and most importantly, security, which has made people to sleep with their two eyes closed.”
In a related development, another APC governorship aspirant in Enugu State, Barrister Okey Ezeah, has returned his nomination form to the party.
Ezeah said APC was battle ready for the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, stressing that the people desperately wanted a change from the government of PDP in the state.
