Nigerian housemates, Melvin and Beverly, have sailed into the final of the Big Brother African Season 8 alongside Ghana’s Elkem and Zambia’s Cleo.
This was made known after the leader of the house, Elkem, decided to save himself and put up South Africa’s only surviving chasemate, Angelo, for possible eviction on Sunday.
The four housemates have all secured places in the final.
Nigeria’s Melvin and Beverly are the last pair standing after all other countries lost one or both of their housemates to evictions during the course of the chase.
This means that only one housemate among Bimp, Dillish and Angelo will join the elite four on the road to the final.
Interestingly, both Dillish and Bimp nominated each other as they will lick each other’s wound this week, being the only ones who know certainly that they are up for eviction.
Cleo has been up for eviction four times and never had the opportunity to be saved by house leaders but was fortunate enough to be saved by Africa on all occasions.
Elkem, on the other hand, has faced the eviction dagger twice, in Weeks 4 and 9.
During the first nominations of the season, he was saved by Feza.
In Weeks 6 and 10, he saved himself as he did on Monday night.
In Weeks 7 and 8, Elkem was saved by O’neal and Sulu respectively.
Nigeria’s Beverly is the only housemate who made it to the final without having to face eviction throughout the season.
This is history in the Big Brother Africa chase.
Melvin, on the other hand, also managed to dodge the dagger until Week 6 when he saw it and put himself in possible eviction instead of swapping any of his fellow housemates who were nominated at the time.
Luckily for him, Africa had his back and he was back to continue with the chase.
At the end of the day, it is anyone’s game.
Yet, only one out of the five in the final and 28 who started the chase will walk away with much coveted $300,000.
