Out favour Super Eagles’ forward, Obafemi Martins, is in a deadly form ahead of the 2014 Major Soccer League season as he grabbed his third goal for Seattle Sounders in their one-all draw tie against Houston Dynamo.
The Nigerian player strike was all Sounders needed to come back from an early deficit in a 1-1 tie against the Houston Dynamo in the Carolina Challenge Cup.
Seattle will do battle against D.C. United Houston on Saturday in the final of the tournament.
The Dynamo opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Brad Davis, as the Sounders faced their first preseason deficit.
Martins equalized in the 44th minute off a cross from Lamar Neagle, who played at forward.
