The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Kankarofi, has officially received newly posted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) into the command, warning that there would be no room for indiscipline.
The reception was disclosed in a statement issued in the early hours of Thursday in Lokoja by the command’s spokesperson, CSP William Aya.
According to the statement, the event provided the commissioner with the opportunity to personally welcome the officers and brief them on expectations regarding their new assignments.
Addressing the officers, Kankarofi said the newly posted ASPs represented renewed hope for the reform and advancement of the Nigeria Police Force.
“I urge you all to approach your duties with utmost seriousness, dedication, and commitment to service, while upholding the core principles of policing, including integrity, discipline, and accountability,” the statement quoted the commissioner as saying.
He further highlighted the challenges involved in maintaining public safety, enforcing the law, and building community trust.

The newly posted ASPs expressed gratitude to the commissioner and pledged to uphold the high standards and ethics expected of officers of the force.
