Ronald Koeman has secured his next job. The former Barcelona coach will take over the Dutch national team for a second time after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar according to Samuel Marsden.

He’ll succeed Lous van Gaal.

Koeman left his role with the Netherlands to take over Barcelona when they sacked Quique Setien in the summer of 2020.

He led La Blaugrana to a third-placed finish in La Liga during his first season and won the Copa del Rey, beating Athletic Club 4-0 in the final at La Cartuja down in Seville.

But a poor start to the 2021/22 season saw him lose his job and be replaced by Xavi Hernandez at the beginning of November.

This will be the 12th role Koeman has taken on as a senior coach.

His career has seen him take charge of Vitesse, Ajax, Benfica, PSV Eindhoven, Valencia, AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord, Southampton, Everton, the Netherlands and Barcelona.
