The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has opposed the decision of a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party decision to expel the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose; and several other party leaders.
Governor Mutfwang made his position known in a statement issued on Saturday by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere.
He said this was not discussed by the PDP Governors’ Forum (PGF) or the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party before the motion for expulsion was presented at the National Convention in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday.

He said in the statement: “The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has formally distanced himself from the expulsion of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, alongside other leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”
