Arsenal defender Ben White has been recalled to the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Japan, marking his first inclusion in four years.
White joins Newcastle United winger Harvey Barnes as replacements for Eberechi Eze and Jarell Quansah, who both withdrew due to injuries.
The call-up offers both players an opportunity to impress manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
England will host Uruguay at Wembley on Friday, before facing Japan at the same venue on March 31.
White last featured for England in 2022 and was part of the squad for that year’s World Cup in Qatar, where he left the camp for personal reasons.

The 28-year-old has not played at a major tournament despite being included in squads for Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
Former England manager Gareth Southgate later disclosed that White had asked not to be considered for selection amid reports of a disagreement with assistant manager Steve Holland.
Barnes, meanwhile, is set for another chance at international level after making his only England appearance in 2020 during a friendly win over Wales.
Despite interest from Scotland, Barnes opted to remain eligible for England.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke said: “Harvey’s going to concentrate on trying to play for England” and added that “Nobody needs to ask me or Harvey about it anymore”.
Barnes will now get his chance to impress Tuchel in the March camp as he attempts to win a place in the World Cup squad.
