All is now set for the 87th birthday anniversary celebration of a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, which will include the launch of a book on his biography.
Attah’s aide, Udeme Nana, disclosed this at a news conference he addressed on Friday in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
Nana said that the event, scheduled for November 20, 2025, will attract the presence of President Bola Tinubu, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and several high profile personalities in the country.
Nana, the Founder of Uyo Book Club, said that the book, titled: “Attah: Architect of a New Democratic Dawn,” would be unveiled by Sam Amuka, the Publisher of Vanguard Newspapers,
According to him, the biography, written by a veteran journalist, Dr. Dele Wale, chronicles the life and achievements of Attah, who was Akwa Ibom State governor between 1999 and 2007.

He described Attah as a visionary leader, who made significant contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom State and the country at large.
He said: “Attah is known for his advocacy for true federalism, resource control, and payment of derivation to mineral-bearing communities.
“He is a deep thinker, knowledgeable, creative, versatile, mentally alert and hardworking.”
