The acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, is attending a police conference, where he is meeting with members of the Police Management Team, pledging collaboration with other security agencies and better welfare for police officers.
The session is holding at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Egbetokun in his speech stressed on the need for the Police Force personnel to be proactive, in preventing, rather than reacting to criminal activities in the country.
The acting IG promised to improve welfare of the police officers, pledging his commitment to improved inter-agency collaboration between the police and other security agencies.
In attendance at the conference are: senior police officers from the ranks of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police DIGs, Assistant Inspectors-General of Police AIGs, and Commissioners of Police CPs and others.
