Abia Warriors of Umuahia handler, Emmanuel Deutcsh, has called on the League Management Company, organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, to make a special arrangement with airline operators in the country to airlift teams to match venues.
Speaking in Umuahia, Deutcsh said Nigeria is large to be covered by road as many clubs do not have the financial capacity to fly their teams to match venues.
According to the Cameroonian, such an arrangement by the LMC will help bring out the best in the league as the teams are usually fatigued after long trips to match venues.
“Definitely, the long trips take their toll on the teams,” the former Akwa United coach noted.
