No fewer than 6,000 fun-loving school children are being expected to attend the 2016 Cowbell summer camp, called “Chocademy”.
Kingsley Onuoha, the Brand Manager of Cowbell Choco, Promasidor Nigeria, disclosed that arrangements have been concluded by the brand to host the participating children in this year’s edition of the “edutainment” programme in Makurdi, Enugu and Ilorin.
According to Onuoha, the six-day summer camp opened in Makurdi, Benue State on August 8, 2016 and would be coming to a close on August 13, 2016.
He said the summer camp would hold in Enugu between August 15 and 20, 2016 and then move to Ilorin fromAugust 22 to 27, 2016.
In his words: “The summer camp is designed to engage and educate school children during the long holiday. Spending the summer holidays learning outside of a customary school environment, he stated, can help pupils/students get ahead of their classmates when they return to school; as skills acquired during the summer programme can enhance their leadership, athletic and academic opportunities.”
Onuoha said the idea behind Chocademy is to bring together children with diverse cultural, religious affiliations and social classes to a healthier, moral, social learning field where aerobic exercises, knowledge-sharing, moral education activities will be undertaken among others.
He therefore advised mothers and other caregivers to register their children and wards as quality educators have been arranged to handle each module of the summer camp such that the participating children and their parents go back home fulfilled.
The programme, Onuoha said, promises to be fun, as a lot of exciting gift items and product would be given out to all participants.
