One of the front-line presidential aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kabiru Taminu Turaki, has written to the party’s delegates for the election of the candidate for the 2019 election.
The former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, in the message translated into Nigeria’s major languages, sought the support of the delegates for his ambition.
The message reads in full:
MY Dear PDP Delegates,
My name is KABIRU TANIMU TURAKI, SAN. I am seeking for the mandate of our great party, the PDP to enable me contest for the office of the President of Nigeria. I therefore seek your support for this great mission to be our party’s presidential standard bearer.
I ask for your support as a man of honour, integrity and credibility which Nigerians from different parts of the country can attest to.
My consultations round the 36 States, including the Federal Capital Territory have provided the delegates, elders and other members including the PDP governors the opportunity to assess my capacity in terms of education, intellect, eloquence, courage, experience, dynamism and building bridges of friendship across the country, besides integrity and credibility to hold the office of the president.
I am humbled by their favourable comments and acknowledgement of my eloquence, outstanding knowledge and profound solutions to Nigeria’s problems which led some of our distinguished members and elders asking: “what else are we looking for when we have this caliber of person?”
However, irrespective of such comments, I am, as a FIERCELY LOYAL party man asking for your support to vote for me KABIRU TANIMU TURAKI, SAN, as the Presidential candidate of our great PARTY- THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY. (PDP)
