The Joint Health Sector Unions on Monday gave the Federal Government a January 31 deadline to resolve all disputes, and meet the unions’ outstanding demands, or face industrial action.
Its Chairman, Josiah Biobelemoye, disclosed this in a communique issued at the end of the union’s National Executive Council meeting on Thursday in Abuja.
JOHESU disclosed this at a peaceful rally organised by its national body in Abuja, saying it would not be deterred by the court’s injunction compelling its members to return to work.
Josiah Biobelemoye, Chairman of the union, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja.
Biobelemoye attributed the industrial action to what he described as the “insensitivity and lackadaisical attitude of drivers of the health sector’’.
