There are two other important persons to be mentioned. The first is the then Vice Chancellor who must have received the ‘fake’ documents that came from ‘above’. What was that former VC’s posture? The second is the current State Governor, Mr. Theodore Orji. Being the Chief of Staff to the Governor at that time, could he have been the courier of the fake documents?

On reflection, one could argue that Kalu, in his queer manner, was projecting the value of university education and that it is never too late to seek knowledge. So, whatever one may have felt at the time, Kalu’s degree, warts and all, does no damage to Abia State University

Five other Nigerians – Dr. Obinna Uzoh, Chairman of Gocuz group of companies; Prof. ‘Dibu Ojerinde, Registrar of the Joint Matriculation and Examinations Board; Dr. Paul Orhii, the Director General of NAFDAC; Abubakar Muhammed, the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment; and Dr. Uche Ejiogu, the Executive Chairman of Imo State Universal Basic Education Board – have also been declared Verbatim Magazine persons in various categories

A few days ago, an assortment of characters, led by the Governor of Abia State, Theodore Orji, marched on the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party at Wadata Plaza, Abuja, primarily to declaim their visceral hatred and fear of Dr. Kalu under the veneer of protesting his purported efforts to rejoin the PDP. The shady and duplicitous attributes of these characters are not hidden from the Nigerian people. That they are led on this disgraceful display of ignorance and squander of the people’s time and resources by the very patron saint of ignorance himself, Governor Orji, is not in the least surprising. But the willingness of members of the National Assembly, including, emphatically, distinguished senators of the republic, to participate, openly and vocally, in this extraordinary disadventure, brings unmitigated opprobrium to that assembly and further exposes the colossal failure of leadership in Abia State
