The hill, described as a historical beauty and wonder of nature, was formerly climbed once a year for the celebration of Odun Omo by custodians.

The Governor, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, eulogized Chief Akande for his selfless service to Osun State, the Yoruba race and the entire Nigeria.

The Governor stressed that effective grassroots security management remains critical to sustaining peace and boosting socio-economic development of the state.

The list comprised of commissioners who were members of the State Executive Council that was dissolved by the Governor on August 10, 2025.

This was as the state graduated and empowered another batch of 60 trainees from the Ekiti State Skills Acquisition Centre for Persons With Disabilities, Ado- Ekiti.

Oyebanji, who saluted President Bola Tinubu for the initiative that encourages farming, promised to tackle head-on, those he described as unscrupulous elements and criminally minded individuals, who were determined to sabotage his efforts and make farming difficult in the state.

This, according to the governor, is to ensure that initiatives and projects that speak to the needs of the people are included and executed.
