The court on Friday held that the section was unconstitutional, invalid, illegal, null, void and of no effect whatsoever.

In compliance with the Electoral Act 2022, the Commission published the final list of candidates for the election following the close of nominations by political parties.

The CNPP made the call for the signing of the Bill in a statement issued on Thursday by its Secretary General, Willy Ezugwu.
The Bill is due to be delivered to President Muhammadu Buhari today (Monday) for his assent.
