Extolling the virtues of the late politician, Kalu acknowledged the prominent roles played by the former Chairman of the Coalition of Nigerian Political Parties in the enthronement and sustenance of democracy in Nigeria, adding that the former Governor was a strong advocate of a just and fair society.
Musa told the News Agency of Nigeria on telephone on Sunday that the country could be better than its current state if the leaders had done more.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that President Buhari on Wednesday declared that June 12 will henceforth be celebrated as Democracy Day.

In a tribute to Alhaji Musa on the occasion of his recently celebrated 81st birthday anniversary, President Buhari said: “Even Musa’s worst enemies and critics cannot dispute his remarkable reputation for integrity and selfless service to the people.”
Musa told the News Agency of Nigeria on telephone from Kaduna that the content of the song did not reflect the true feelings of most northerners.
Musa said unless the system being operated was changed, Nigerians would continue to be short-changed by those in authority who have relegated national interest to the background.
