The Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hakeem Amode, spoke on the development in a statement on he issued Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that issues have been raised about the family of the 45-year-old frontline contender.

Adediran, in company of his running mate,  Funke Akindele and other PDP leaders, made this remarks at a town hall meeting with an igbo group, Ndigbo Na Lagos Bu Otu, in Surulere on Sunday.

Adediran reiterated the concern at a meeting with the Council of Chief Imams at the Ketu Central Mosque on Tuesday.

The duo were reported to have purportedly stepped down their ambitions and endorsed the candidate of the PDP.

Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, spoke in a statement by the spokesman of his Campaign, Gbemiga Ogunleye.

Adediran, at his declaration in Ikeja, called on the PDP family to unite and rise above every suspicion capable of truncating the party’s chances in the forthcoming elections, which he described as bright.

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran is the Lead Visioner of the movement that recently announced its defection to the PDP.
