The ousted Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Caretaker Committee, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, on Thursday held a closed door meeting with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The meeting was held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Sheriff arrived for the meeting about 3.30pm.
The former Borno State Governor, however, refused to speak with newsmen after the meeting that lasted about two hours.
There had been reports that the All Progressives Congress had approached Sheriff to join the party.
But the Borno State chapter of the APC had denied this development.
