The Borno State Police Command has assured the management of News Central TV of safety during a town hall meeting of the media company scheduled for Thursday.
Borno State Commissioner of Police, CP Nasiru Abdulmajid, gave the assurance while receiving a delegation of senior professionals from News Central led by the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief, Kayode Akintemi, on a courtesy visit to the Police Headquarters in Maiduguri.
The high-level meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation between the media and law enforcement to promote peace and public safety in Borno State and beyond.
During the visit, Mr. Akintemi and his team engaged in constructive discussions with Abdulmajid and his senior officers, focusing on the shared responsibility of the media and police in fostering a secure and informed society.
Both parties explored avenues for collaboration, particularly in the areas of public awareness, crisis communication, and community engagement.
The visit comes ahead of the highly anticipated News Central TV Town Hall, scheduled to take place in Maiduguri.
