Dr Stephen Mbah, a pharmacist, has emerged the flag bearer for the Peoples Redemption Party in the November 18 governorship election in Anambra.
Mbah emerged as the party’s candidate as a sole aspirant after polling 252 votes out of 253-man delegates in Awka on Wednesday.

He said that the party adopted Option A4 for the poll, describing the exercise as “the most free and fair primary election in the state for the November poll”.
In his acceptance speech, Mbah commended the delegates and appealed for their support in the main election for the victory of the party.
The flag bearer said: “If elected, my administration would focus on complete security, free education at all levels, food security and free ante-natal schemes for mothers, among others.’’
On his part, the state Chairman of the party, Chief Mathias Nwachukwu, assured that PRP would mobilise to ensure its victory in the forthcoming election.
