Nasarawa United returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes in a Match Day 21 encounter of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.
The match, at Lafia Township Stadium, earned the Solid Miners maximum points, lifting them to fourth place on the league table.
Anas Yusuf opened the scoring with a 13th minute penalty before Adekunle Oluwasegun doubled the lead in the 22nd minute.
Ahmadu Lidan pulled one back for Niger Tornadoes in the 85th minute, but Nasarawa United held firm to secure victory.

Nasarawa United Technical Adviser, Mbwas Mangut, thanked God and his players, saying: “The boys showed commitment and deserved the win.
“We will work harder to sustain this performance and improve in the coming matches to return to the top.”
Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser, Majin Mohamed, said his side wasted chances, noting: “We could not utilise our opportunities.
“We have moved on and will return to the drawing board to improve our league position.”
