A top ranking Minister, who craved anonymity, has confirmed the death of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the inconclusive governorship election in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, to The Eagle Online.
So also did associates of the former governor of Kogi State, including a serving senator from the state, also confirm the passage of Audu to The Eagle Online.
His close aides, including top members of the Abubakar Audu Campaign Organisation, also on Sunday confirmed the death of Audu.
Audu was said to have taken ill on Sunday after the hectic schedule of the election, which the Independent National Electoral Commission declared inconclusive.
The Eagle Online learnt that Audu had relied on medication for survival in the last couple of years.
