Eminent businessman and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, on Sundayexpressed shock over the death of Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, the first son of first civilian Governor of Anambra State, Chief Jim Nwobodo.
The younger Nwobodo, who was one time Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development in Anambra State, died on November 14.
Kalu, in a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser, Prince Kunle Oyewumi, said: “I was devastated when I heard the news of the untimely death of Dr. Nwobodo.
“As a father, I know how painful it is to lose not just a loved one but a first son.
“However, who are we to question God.
“My heart, love and thoughts are with the entire Chief Nwobodo family at this mournful time.
“May the good Lord grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
The former governor urged Chief Nwobodo to take solace in the fact that the younger Nwobodo lived a good life and impacted lives positively.
Kalu, while commiserating with the Nwobodo family and the good people of Anambra State, prayed God to grant the departed eternal rest.
