Hoopers storms Abidjan Monday

A 35-man team of supporters of Team Nigeria’s Basketball Men’s team, the Hoopers, will on Monday arrive Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire to drum support for the D’Tigers as they gun for the title of the Afrobasket 2013.
One of the key officers of the Hoopers, Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed, the Chairman, Disciplinary Committee, who disclosed this in Lagos, said they were ready to cheer the team to success as they have always done since 1996.
Mohammed said: “We are going there to give the team all our support.
“We pray the National Sports Commission supports our effort.”
Team Nigeria will play their first match against Mali on Tuesday.
