Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved fresh appointments and promotions, effective immediately in key government agencies.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Spokesperson Sanusi Bature, to newsmen in Kano on Monday.
Bature said that the key appointments included Abubakar Matawalle as Acting Director-General, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
He said: “Yusuf Mukhtar, promoted to Permanent Secretary, Rahama Malam Alhaji as Provost, Kano State Anti-Corruption Institute and Aina’u Ade, promoted to Senior Special Assistant, Kanywood Affairs.
“Matawalle, a seasoned administrator, previously served as Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims’ Board and Permanent Secretary Establishment.

“Rahama Malam Alhaji is a highly accomplished legal professional with expertise in litigation, corporate law, and regulatory compliance while Aina’u Ade’s promotion is based on her outstanding performance.”
Yusuf urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them through hard work, transparency, and loyalty to the “Kano First” agenda.
