Super Eagles’ left back and Sporting Braga of Portugal defender, Elderson Echiejile, is on the verge of putting pen to paper for French Lique 1 big spender, Monaco.
The AFCON 2013 winning defender, who has been a regular starter for the Super Eagles, returns to France, where he first played for Rennes, following a three-and-a-half year spell in Portugal.
Echiejile has over 30 caps to his name, scoring great goals in the process.
He is expected to be part of Nigeria’s World Cup squad later this year.
Monaco are currently in second in France’s Ligue 1, five points behind pace-setters, Paris St-Germain.
