Super Eagles’ striker, Sone Aluko, opened his season goal account in Hull City’s 2-0 win in a club friendly against York City at Bootham Crescent on Wednesday.
The Steve Bruce’s side scored twice in the second half to secure a 2-0 win against York City .
After a slow first half in which neither side threatened to break the deadlock, substitute Sone Aluko put Hull ahead on 50 minutes with a long range effort.
Fellow substitutes – Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore and Tom Ince – all impressed as the second half wore on, taking control of the game as Hull City’s Premier League quality began to show.
However, it was a defensive mistake that allowed Yannick Sagbo to nip and double Hull City’s lead on 76 minutes.
