Sequel to a long restructuring process, the American University of Nigeria Yola, Adamawa State has disengaged the services of about 400 of its staff.
The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti on Monday said that the National Universities Commission had given full accreditation to some of the courses forming its academic programmes.
This was contained in a statement signed by Dr. N.B. Saliu, Director, Academic Planning, NUC, on Tuesday in Lafia.
Ibrahim Yakasai, the NUC Director of Corporate Affairs, disclosed this on Friday in Abuja while clarifying the commission’s position on some online reports claiming that the NUC had phased out Mass Communication.
This followed a unanimous adoption of a motion moved by Hon. Sam Onwuaso during the plenary presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase on Wednesday.
