The nominations are in addition to the MTF awards category which is dedicated to films from the Academy.
Akapo was awarded the prize at the graduation ceremony of the 2022 cohort of the Academy which took place on Saturday at Terrakulture, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The session was led by a panel which included members of the MultiChoice leadership including Yolisa Phahle, Video Entertainment CEO, MultiChoice General Entertainment; John Ugbe, Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria and Nkateko Mabaso, Acting CEO, M-Net SSA.
The initiative was announced on Thursday.
