Oyetola, who polled 222,169, had defeated ex Secretary to the state government, Moshood Adeoti, who was supported by the Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola and ex Deputy Speaker, Lasun Yusuf at the Saturday’s primary.

The Action Democratic Party on Saturday said it was confident of dislodging the All Progressives Congress to win the September 22 governorship election in Osun State.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Adeoti was one of the 17 All Progressives Congress aspirants in the July 19 primary conducted by the party.
